ActorFactor associates bring a wealth of experience and expertise combining theatre skills and improvisation with facilitation and training in business and public sector organisations. Their collective experience spans work with companies that include Price Waterhouse Coopers, Cadbury Schweppes, Technicolor, Chase Manhattan Bank, Cellotex, The Highways Agency, P&O and Somerfield Stores. Some associates have particular expertise in a range of public sector organisations including the Youth and Prison Services, the Civil Service, Crown Prosecution Service, NHS and various County Councils.

ActorFactor are able to match the requirements of the job with Associates who have specialist knowledge and expertise in addition to their first-class skills as an actor/facilitator. This enhances the realism experienced by participants and enhances our ability to respond with insight to any situation.

  

Emma Brown MA MSAT IHD Accredited Coach

Emma is a founding partner and director of ActorFactor and specialises in the synthesis of theatre skills and self-development techniques into high impact training solutions. Emma is qualified in acting, high performance coaching and also specialises in voice and actor training. She is a qualified Alexander Practitioner.
As part of the ActorFactor ethos, Emma is passionate about work that puts the individual at the centre of organisational change and development and designs courses based on this principle for personal or group situations.

 

  

Gillie Stoneham MSc RegMCSLT Dip.Couns.

Gillie is a founding partner and director of ActorFactor and specialises in the field of interpersonal communication within high impact training solutions. Gillie is a qualified communication therapist and counsellor and, in addition, has trained and worked within drama and extended improvisation.
Gillie has extensive experience in devising and delivering training within health and education and is passionate about the value of simulations in training interpersonal skills. She lectures in communication and counselling skills.

 

   

Richard Feltham BA (Hons) in progress

Richard is an experienced Associate and has worked as an actor/facilitator with ActorFactor since its inception. Richard has extensive experience in extended improvisation and is also qualified in Advice Work. Richard brings specialist knowledge and management within the voluntary sector where he has delivered programmes on client-focus, communication skills and public speaking and has driven sustainable growth for a major national organisation.

 

  

Hannah Reynolds MBA, Dip Ad Ed, Dip RSA Training

Hannah is an experienced Associate and has worked as an actor/facilitator with ActorFactor since its inception. Hannah specialises in community empowerment through the use of theatre tools, and training the trainer. Hannah is co-author of accredited business and organisational training manuals ‘Opening the Doors to Community Enterprise’, ‘Comment’ and ‘Market Own’.

 

  

Philip Robinson BA (Hons)

Philip is an experienced Associate and has worked as an actor/facilitator with ActorFactor since its inception. He has extensive experience in the field of arts in health and education, in addition to running management training and leadership programmes within commercial organisations.

 

 

  

Anita Parry MA

Anita is an experienced Associate with a broad background in theatre and the application of improvisation in training. Anita is a professional actor and director and also has particular experience in diversity training and changing company culture.
Anita has also appeared in many corporate training videos for companies that include Abbey National, Woolworths, The Fire Service and British Telecom.

 

  

Anthony Richards BA (Hons)

Anthony is an experienced Associate and has worked as an actor/facilitator with ActorFactor since its inception. Anthony is also a professional actor and theatre director and a guest lecturer in Higher Education.
Anthony specialises in human communication. He devises and delivers programmes with a solution-focus to problem solving and uses dynamic theatre skills to help people learn.

 

  

Michael Brown MSTAT

Michael is an experienced trainer and Associate of ActorFactor. He offers training, facilitation and coaching for a wide variety of personal and management development areas that include leadership, presentation skills and trainer development. He is a qualified Alexander Practitioner and brings specialist knowledge of stress management in the workplace.

 

  

Wendy Harbutt BA (Hons)

Wendy is an experienced Associate and works both as an actor/facilitator and business consultant for ActorFactor. Wendy is qualified in Business Management and Marketing Management and has worked in industry for 19 years. Alongside her commercial business background Wendy has over 15 years experience in role-play and extended improvisation.

 

  

Fiona Macbeth BA (Hons)

Fiona works as an Associate of ActorFactor and also teaches Applied Drama undergraduate and postgraduate level.
Fi brings specialist knowledge of conflict resolution and co-wrote the training manual ‘Playing with Fire – training for the creative use of conflict’. She continues to run training courses and workshops in this area.

 

  

Geoff Fox PhD, MA, Associate of the Drama Board (Education)

Geoff is a senior Associate and has a wealth of experience in role-play, improvisation, acting and storytelling. Geoff is a well-respected author and has lectured in English Literature and Drama in the UK and overseas and has also held a number of visiting Professorships.
He brings specialist knowledge of drama and improvisation in a variety of settings.

 

  

Jo Tasker BA (Hons)

Jo is an Associate of ActorFactor and has specialist knowledge in applied drama. She has a particular interest in using drama with youth at risk and young people.
and has run numerous projects in alternative education programmes for Social Services and others working with disaffected groups.

 

  

Rachel Vowles BA (Hons)

Rachel works as an Associate of ActorFactor and holds the post of Associate Director for Education and Community at Exeter University’s Northcott Theatre. She has a wide ranging theatrical experience from directing large scale productions to running workshops and courses in communication skills whilst lecturing in Drama and Theatre Arts. Rachel is a board member for the National Association of Youth Theatres and has advocates the arts as a tool for social and educational change.

 

   

Peter Hamilson BSc, PGCE, MPhil

Peter is an experienced Associate of ActorFactor with an impressive career history that includes the roles of Drama Teacher, Head of Drama, Community Drama Tutor, Artistic Director and Theatre Director. Peter’s proven theatrical skills combine with his ability to develop others and his approach is one that provides a safe environment for participants to grow.

 

  

David Heathfield BA (Hons), Dip TEFLA

David is an author, teacher and experienced Associate of ActorFactor. His particular expertise is in interpersonal skills training and has written numerous academic articles on the subject of communication. David’s book “Spontaneous Speaking: Drama Activities for Confidence and Fluency” is published by DELTA. David brings to ActorFactor both roleplay expertise and training/teaching skills in the field of communication.
