Forum Theatre

Forum Theatre is a theatrical game in which an issue is shown in an unsolved form and spectators are able to offer alternative solutions. Many different solutions are enacted in the course of a forum which results in a pooling of knowledge, tactics and experience. In this approach organisations and individuals are given the opportunity to ‘rehearse for reality’.

Theatre allows the individual to observe themselves in action and in that observation extend their repertoire of behaviour. This creates the potential to make choices toward more effective and productive behaviours in any situation of work and personal life.

We have used Forum Theatre to great effect in many organisations as a means of gaining greater clarity and insight into an issue and giving the individual greater strength and confidence to deal with and confront situations.

In the same way that actors rehearse their parts in a play so employees in organisations can understand and practice those behaviours that allow them to perform any role in their lives at a productive and successful level.
